What does staying stuck cost?

This page puts a dollar range on staying stuck. It uses your income. It uses the pattern that limits you. It uses how long the pattern has run. It uses the parts of your life at risk. The result is a low number and a high number. Both are guesses. Neither is a measured fact about your books.

How is the estimate calculated?

This is a model, not a measure. Someone chose every number in it. The model starts with your income bracket. It adds the pattern you pick. It times the pattern rate by how long it has run. The domains you pick add their own amounts. The model runs the same math twice. Once for a low case. Once for a high case. That’s why you get a range, not one number.

Every number inside the model is a choice. The income brackets use a middle point. The pattern rates are ranges. The time factors scale the result. Change the choices. The result changes. That’s the point of a model. It shows the thinking instead of hiding it in one answer.

What are the four domains?

The calculator looks at four parts of your life. Health and energy covers what the pattern takes from your body and your rest. Key relationships covers the people closest to you. Revenue and business growth covers the money the pattern blocks. Leadership presence and career trajectory covers how you show up as the person in charge. Each one you pick adds its own amount.

  • Health and energy
  • Key relationships
  • Revenue and business growth
  • Leadership presence and career trajectory

How do I read the result?

The result is a range. It shows a low number and a high number. The low end is the safe side. The high end is the full side. Two cost frames sit under it. Each frame has a name and a short line. The domains you picked show up as extra risk. The page also shows the range next to the cost of a change, as a percent.

The range matters more than either end. A single number would act like the model knows your exact case. It doesn’t. It shows where the number starts. It shows where it goes if the pattern keeps running. That lets you see the size of the choice either way.

Why is the number a gap, not a loss?

The number is a gap, not a loss. A loss is money that’s already gone. A gap is the space between where the business is now and where it was set to be by now. The model counts that space in dollars. The gap hasn’t been spent. It can close. That’s what makes it useful. It sizes the space. You can see what closing it is worth.

The calculator above is the tool. The model on this page is the thinking behind it. Run the calculator. Read the range. Keep this page if you want to recall what the number means.
